What must I do if all my valve CV calculation and selection end up with cavitations?
anaalmansuri,
1) Using multistage control valve
2) Using harder trim material

Also, increase the operating pressure, lower the elevation of the CV, decrease the operating temperature, add a downstream orifice, and/or use a drag valve (CCI).

Dear Analmansuri
Please check with control valve vendors, they have the type of valve that is using multiple-valves concept that eliminate cavitation problem. It is as though you are installing several valves in series.
