What are the differences between the standards and norms?
To illustrate, a lab analysis is ISO 68 . . For this ISO standart, we have two different norms, namely; Turkish norm and French norm. These norms must be same or not?

A standards organization publishes standards for general use which are optional for a company/country to follow. If the company or country chooses, it can have different requirements for its purpose which can be more tight or more relaxed, suiting its own purpose or it own application (Every standard has an application). These are generally called norms or Internal standards or Company standards or National standards (in case of a country).

The standard should be acceptable to both supplier and customer (user). You can have a dialogue with your other party and arrive at a mutually acceptable norm. If the customer is not satisfied, he will not buy the item.
