Hi guys ;

Anyone have an idea how to calculate the oil content in water in the outlet of a three phase separator with weir arrangement ?

Thanks

The constant K (entrainment factor) is defined while sizing three phase separator. This k factor defines to keep minimum entrainment for given pressure conditions. Another deciding factor is particle size. Both these inputs, make design adequate to achieve maximum separation. However, there is no direct calculation method (I know) to estimate oil in water, as well as water content in oil . I guess, it is experimental data & only fabricators can indicate.
