In PV manufacturing, Pulsed Solar Simulators (Flasher) are used in rating the Pmax of PV modules. This is very critical in terms of quality and safety of the produced modules.

I have encountered one problem with the Pulsed Solar Machine. It has been giving random erratic graphs. This would require re-flashing and thereby, reduced throughput. Though, the readings are within the acceptable tolerance, these erratic graphs become very nuisance to the production line. Investigation is ongoing to ensure this does not affect quality/safety of the produced modules.

For Solar Engineering experts, kindly help me on the following:

What are the causes of erratic IV-graph (attached pic) generated by (Berger) Pulsed Solar simulator (with Stahl High Voltage/Pe Test Set)? How can this be addressed? How to get along with the troubleshooting?

Thank you very much.
