Please advice if in a revamp plant hydro testing needs to be done again if design pressure of the system has increased due to new shut off conditions of new pump being installed in the system.
Earlier design pressure of the system is 6 barg, hydro test pressure 1.5 times so 9 barg.
New design pressure is 7.2 barg based on new operating condition and new pump shut off. Can an exception be taken on the grounds that new design pressure is still less than test pressure and It is 150 pound rating piping.
