We make a final year designed project ...We required a distance between equipment ....so then we able to calculate friction losses and to design pump???
So I want help to select distance between equipments??

There is no single guideline. Much depends on the hazards of your process and the space available. Refineries may have different criteria than chemical plants. Spacing may be extremely tight on ships or offshore platforms. At a minimum you should have room for maintenance access. Consider the need for crane access or forklift access. Heat exchangers with removable bundles should have enough space to work the bundle out. Some vessels need a large diked area to contain leakage. Fired equipment and flares need their own space to keep open flames from igniting accidental flammable vapor clouds. Your piping will not always go directly from equipment to equipment, but often to a pipe rack which serves as a main highway through your plant.
