Open bonnet PSVs are quite different from the close bonnet ones.. While checking these PSVs at workshop on air, there is a chance of air leakage through bonnet. Due to this it would be difficult to identify the exact pressure at which PSV start to lift.

Is there any other standard method/criteria to check open bonnet PSVs at workshop??

Air leakage should comply with seat tightness class. Usually it is very small value, for example see API 527. It can't interfere in CDTP test. CDTP test method for open and closed bonet PSV is the same. Please provide us more information to get better answers.
