Dear sir, we are trying to size a bigger static inline mixer for mixing ethylene, hydrogen, ethane, butene and come C3-C4 alkanes with hexane. We like to have maximum percentage of these gases dissolve in hexane (after mixing) before injecting into the reactors, if possible. By the solubility of each gas in hexane, we may not be able to get all gases absorbed in hexane. Please kindly help me on the following questions:
1) Design principles for static mixers- e.g. operation/design limitation like max capacity and still maintain good mixing with our existing "smaller" mixer
2) Design concerns- pressure drop, extent of mixing, viscosity and solubility
3) Recommended vendors for mixing gas and liquid
All responses are highly appreciated.
