Hello,

I am a ChemE n00b. I have blue color powder pigment sample that I would want to convert into blue dye  (the same color)- at my university.

What's the process to obtain dye from pigment, can someone guide to literature and techniques used?

I am trying to evaluate how to make this go into a marker as a low cost ink.

 Thanks

A web search by you might give you a start. https://www.chemistr...1013163.article is an overview article on ink chemistry. (This link has a limited number of free views, so save it in a format you can recall if you want to refer to it later.)
