I need articles/literature on flow induced vibration in valves and piping. Can someone help me out?

The only source of information I have found addressing piping vibration is the "Shock & Vibration Handbook".

ASME B31.1 and B31.3 state that vibration should be minimized.....but offer no guideance.

Some companies perform a computerized dynamic analysis of the system, then find the locations wher the piping is "most likely to displace and vibrate". They then install pipe restraints at this location.

Check the www.eng-tips.com bulletin board.

I believe a Mr. John Breen had some posts about piping vibration there....
