Dear all, please, someone has any idea about my issue (attached figure)?

I have a fan with a known flow rate and i need to put a 'hole' next to the fan in order to insert fresh air.

In this hole, ill install a damper and my problem is: how much air (atmosferic) will go inside the piping related to % of open damper?

Example: if i made my damper 100% open, how much air will go?

I need to solve this problem because i will need to increase/modify my main fan speed (in order to increase the flow too)

There is a  equation solve for this?

Thank you all!

Max

So, what do you do when the blower shuts down inadvertently? Seems to me that you should install a separate blower to provide fresh air. With the added blower you will have significantly better control for the fresh air.

Bobby, you are right! The ideal situation is to install a separate blower but due to budget limitations, we need to use this 'hole' with a damper controlling the fresh air inside.

OBS: I am talking about an RTO (the blower is working to blow air+voc inside an RTO).

The fresh air will only come in when temperature inside the RTO exceeds our target (emergency situation). At this time, we will decrease the energy of the burner and accept more fresh air inside the chamber to cool down the ceramics.
