Hello,

I would like to know what are the parameters to take into account for the flare tip design.

is it mandatory to have it?

Does anyone have any documentation or have worked on it before?

Thanks

Every flare has a tip -- even if it is just a bare end of pipe. I have avoided designing flare tips after seeing bad designs by others. I do not like my designs to fail and that is probably what would happen! Engineered tips are designed for these considerations that I can think of:

1) the tip does not melt or be destroyed by fire 2) air is not allowed to enter the flare system by reverse flow 3) complete combustion with minimal smoke 4) continual combustion with constant flame.
