Hi,

Background:

- need to control composition of light naphtha, such as C7+ has to be less than 1 vol%

- lack of frequency on lab test for composition (1 time/week)

- more frequency on lab test for distillation D86 (3 times/day)

Question:

- how to convert distillation D86 to composition such as nC4, iC4, nC5, etc?

Thanks.

As you know, the D86 is useful in monitoring the 5% and 95% points. Not good for much else. Even if you convert the ASTM to TBP, you will not have the iC4, nC4, iC5, nC5, etc. as you have with a mass spec. or GC.
