I have some questions about Sulphur Recovery Unit (SRU). I'd like to know the effects of operating at temperatures deviating from the design operating temperatures (both for higher & lower temperatures).

Also, I'd like to know how blockage in sulphur lines may occur, how it is detected and how the line is unblocked.

I am looking forward to hearing from you. Bye for now and have a nice day.

Hi Hardiskuae

The process temperature in a SRU is critical for avoid Plugging of lines for develop of solid sulphur. The temperature of gas maybe enough for reactors. The temperatures for condenser to close at design.
For mantain the temperatures of sulphur over the solidify Temperature (Melting Point), the lines must be steam jacketed.

For know the plugging, you can made a survey of presures. and an increase of pressure indicates the develop of pluging upstream.

I hope to help you.

Thank you for your reply. I need more specific information. I need to know the temperature deviation and its effect on Reaction furnace, Converters, Sulfur sump and Incinerator.

I am looking forward to hearing from you..
