Hi all,

I am a Process engineer, new to Oil and Gas field. I am preparing datasheets for Level transmitter (Radar type). Level transmitter for interface service (Oil and water). Here i need to calculate dielectric constant of fluid. Can i find it in hysys??

Regards,

Perumal M

Hi ,

Probably better to call vendors of radars , they have an extensive data base .

Hi,

Refer to my blog post on calculating the dielectric constant:

Hi,

Thanks sir. Great explanation. However i need to calculate refractive index of mixture of compound. If it is a single component, i can get it. I tried to get this value in Hysys. But in this case I couldn't get it. Finally I asked vendor to provide dielectric constant. They didn't replay till.
