Good day all. I am a master's student of natural Gas engineering and currently working on optimization of GTL plant for use in Nigeria GTL. Please anyone with knowledge of how I can simulate GTL plant using Hysys and how to optimize the plant. My interest for optimization is on the Syngas stage and the use of catalyst.
Thank you.

So, is this facility finally operating? Optimization can mean lots of things. If you already have a ChE degree, use what you have learned. And try different ways. Maybe Chevron engineers can help you.

Thank you Bobby strain for your reply. I have a degree in petroleum engineering but currently working on natural conversion to liquid using GTL plant. My interest to optimize an already existing Syngas plant for enhanced performance before the Fisher Tropsch reaction section

Any help with the necessary information towards a better Hysys simulation of the art will be appreciated.
Thanks

So, are you now working at the Escravos GTL facility?  The process modules for all the syngas processes are already present. I don't know that you can actually optimize with the built-in equilibrium model. And there is little to do except maybe vary the oxygen ratio and the reformer outlet temperature. Optimize can mean many things.
