Has anyone ever used the HYSYS safety analysis function to size relief valve in 2 phase flow. I used a vendor sizing and I hand calculated relief valve sizing for 2 phase flow using equations from API 520. my hand calculations and the vendor sizing software matches, however HYSYS comes up with a calculated relief valve smaller than what I I calculated. are there errors in HYSYS 2 phase PSV calculations?

make sure you do use the same methods and input values,
I have a different software and no access to Aspen but I am confident it calculates the correct values,
take care that for two phases there are several methods and variants (as example my copy of Prode Properties includes HEM, HNE, HNE-DS, NHNE ...), if you wish to solve with API HEM method (based on direct integration, see my answer on your previous thread) there are test cases in API which you can follow...
