I have seen that in fired heater cast iron and glass tubes are used.

Purpose of glass tube is that it doesn't corrode due to sulfur condensation.

But what is heat transfer coefficient and price of glass compare to cast iron?

Moreover, what is heat transfer coefficient and price of cast iron compare to carbon steel?

Why to use cast iron in air preheater while use carbon steel in other shell and tube exchanger?
