Hello,

In refrigeration cycle, Freon Screw Compressor has suction temperature and pressure as 1 DegC and 3 barg and Discharge Temperature and pressure as 70 DegC and 14 Barg.

What would be the effect on compression if the suction Temperature is increased by 5-10 DegC with help of high Temperature compressor discharge stream in a heat exchanger?

Why would you entertain such a scheme?

I was just having a thought, if i could reduce the discharge temperature of compressor than i could do furthur subcooling of freon which will reduce my freon quantity required in the evaporator. And thus i could save on my compression cost.

Is it possible to do so?

Maybe you should provide two sketches or PFDs with the process data (as it is right now and with what you want to change) and a calculation to explain your idea
