Dear All,

We have to dose antifoulant liquid supplied by Bakerhuges in Diesel hydrotreater reactor bed to decrease pressure drop, the vendor suggested us to maintain 450 ppm concentration in the feed,

I would like to understand, should I use actual volume feed flow rate which is 740 m3 or standard volume feed flow rate 640 Sm3 to the reactor in the dosing calculation?.

I can understand the mass flowrate through both the volumetric flow values is same, but still I have confusion, which volume I need to use for dosing calculations?. Kindly help me to understand.

If possible kindly share the links or pdf's showing the calculations of dosing rate to various feeds for proper understanding. Thank you.

Hi ,

Please define PPM , volume (mol)  or mass .

Why don't you ask support from vendor, they are there to support customer(s) not only to sell chemicals ….?

To me it's related to the actual flow ( volume or mass).

Good luck

Breizh
