Dear Sir,

 

I want to know how any high fidelity software calculates potytropic efficiency of centrifugal compressor. What is the formula for this?

 

Also i have seen it is based on enthalpy change and pressure ratio also as well as poltropic exponenet as well.Can somebody guide me as i came acroos one formula wherein it is based on temp and pressure ratios and cp/cv value and other is based on enthalpy change and poltropic exponenet and pressure ratio

It has all the equations you need.
