Selecting Suitable Steam Traps For Various Applications

I have some inquiries about criteria of selecting steam traps for various applications in oil refinery such as ( condensers , heat exchangers , steam mains ,tracing lines and condensate return from sulfur jacketed line ).
my concern especially is selecting the best type as well as the best model depending on pressure drops across the trap and capacity from manufacturer charts (spirax for example)
thanks in advance

Hi,
You should contact reputable vendors to support your work ( Armstrong, Swagelok,....) .

Hi,
additional input : https://invenoeng.co...ess-steam-trap/
To me consult senior engineer within your organization or consultants/contractors and rely on reputable vendors , as explained in my first reply.
Good luck

I already did that sir but the main issue is what data I need for each application and how to calculate loads to make sure that the model selected by the vendor is the best
Just google for a steam trap process datasheet, if you do not get one ask the vendor to provide a datasheet template.
Just fill in all the data required and then discuss with the vendor.
