Hi everyone,

Our gas processing plant has a trouble with dirty inside the inlet reciprocating compressor. It has been tripped frequently due to dirty, dirty is black, like asphalt. The dirty content about 70% of corrosion inhibitor (by chemical analysis), but we think it is not a reason, CI is expected to be added by adhesives.

It is strange that the filter coaleser (1 micron) was installed upstream the compressor, and the piping upstream compressor is clean. Dirty is occured inside compressor and the piping downstream of compressor.

Please help me to find the reason and solution for this issue.

Thanks a lot.

Is this something recent? A little history is important for analyzing situations like this. Including the producing field changes.
