Hi. I have some questions regarding steam turbine. It would help if someone can clear the confusion. Thank you.

1) In a steam turbine (producing 20 MW), how do you determine the number of stages?

 

2) Can a turbine consists of both rateau stage and reaction stages? If yes, which one come first or can it be alternate?

 

3) IF we have both type of stages, how to know when the rateau stages end and the other start or vice-versa?

Thank you for this message Bobby. If you can't answer, at least do not judge. Not all people come from same background. What may seem basic to you does not necessarily be basic to others. This isn't the first place I am looking for answers. As i said in the question, 'to clear the confusion' because i have been through several site. I thought people be helping each other here!!
