Hi to all,

How to calculate mixed viscosity manually?

For the oil (Liquid) mass fraction - 0.424, Viscosity - 742 cP and the water mass fraction - 0.575, Viscosity - 0.98 cP what will the mixed viscosity?

Hysys Shows 3713.12 cP as a viscosity? How to crosscheck?

Thank in advance

hi ,

you are dealing with an emulsion .

It has to do with the viscosity of continuous phase and the dispersed phase together with the volumetric ratio dispersed phase to continuous phase or A/O  .

Can you perform test in lab ( internal or external) ?  Brookfield test?

Note : Brookfield is developing in line viscometer ( ref to your previous post)

My 2 cents
