Hi folks
I need to find some physical properties for a gas mixture - viscosity, thermal conductivity, and heat capacity (Cp). The gas is at 210 Celsius and 30 bar, and consists of hydrogen, nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and water vapor (the mole fractions are known). The mixture behaves ideally (Z overall approx. = 1.0), therefore I guess i would find the physical properties at the T, and multiply the property by the mole fraction for each substance in the mixture (but i'm not sure this is right). I dont need a 100% accurate value for this as other factorsare more significant.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi there:

Here is an HTML calculator that can help you with the specific heat calculation for oxygen, nitrogen and carbon dioxide.

Specific heat is a function of temperature only.

Thanks,

Gordan
