Hi, I have certain control setup:

For that, I have data recorded for every I/O block, and I am asked to determine the function used by the AIN block to convert from an analogue 4-20 mA signal to a flow value in the range of 0/32 L/m. The plotted data looks like this:

How would you obtain that function?

Thanks for your time

Excel graph can be used to get an equation to the function of several types.  Then, look at the correlation coefficient to select the best one.

Yes Excel will do the job for you!

You already have the table and the graph ,  click on the graph you will find trend line with different models to select .

based on your data (4) : an estimate : Y (flow) , X (ma)

y=-0.2727*X^2+10.976*X-81.7

R^2= .9827

Good luck
