In general, the pressure sensor applied to the LNG system has the minimum design temperature(abt. -40C) However, it is necessary to measure the pressure in the LNG system to which the ultra-high pressure pump is applied. Moreover, there is a risk that a cryogenic fluid of -150 degrees may reach the tubing line during start up. 

 

(For example) Initially, the fluid pressure inside the tubing is low(below 4 barg), but a high-pressure fluid(abt. 100 barg) flows into the tubing line after pump start up.

 

In the case of a pressure sensor, it is a key device to measure the level and check the pump performance of high pressure. Would it be okay to use a -40 degree sensor while operating a long-term plant?
