There are two considerations: safety and economics. Is the situation unsafe such that it might result in personal injury, environmental harm, or significant equipment damage? If not, then economic analysis prevails. It is normal to operate plants at less than peak efficiency because physical parameters changed. By asking the question, it seems as if you expect the company to make a decision that is not economical and would be against the interests of the company owners. What is your concern about the company's decision?

Thank you, sir, for your comment.
I don't have any interest in suggesting any changes in companies decision. I am more interested in the studies/example of Heterogeneous processes to make myself a little knowledgeable. I also tried to find studies that indicate which processes operate at what efficiencies. But as you know, these are secrets. Thank you!
