Hi everyone,
I want to calculate the Joule Thomson coefficient for a natural gas mixture manually. Can someone guide me the procedure for it? Please post links of some useful references in this regard.
Thanks in Advance

Here's a youtube video deriving an expression for the JT coefficient. From there, you would need an expression or table for Cp and an EOS or tabulated PVT data to get dV/dT.
That's a quick overview, which part of the calculation do you need help with?

Hi ,
You may use a document I prepared a few months ago , 2 EOS PR and SRK . You will have to enter in data bank sheet the pseudo component based on your NG analysis .
You will need to apply Kay's rule ( google if necessary) to calculate the parameters to enter in the data bank sheet , under pseudo component .
note : Under Reference sheet you will find a set of equations and the method used to resolve them .

Hope this is helping you
I encourage you to do the math .
