Hello,
I am looking for guidance for designing HTFD. Mostly I have designed vertical ATFD. My doubt is about heat transfer area for HTFD. I have practically performed a trial for the same product keeping parameters same like flowrates,temp, pressure in HTFD and Vertical ATFD ( HTFD and V-ATFD have same areas) . To get the desired result I had to decrease the flowrate in HTFD . I assumed that may be area required for HTFD higher than vertical ATFD. I want to know if my assumption is right. I am told to take HTA for HTFD 1.3 times the hta for vertical ATFD. But I am not sure about it. Could you please share any similar experience or any literature that can help me understand better.
