I have to calculate the order of reaction and reaction kinetics for a reaction which needs to be run in semi batch mode due to high exothermicity. How can I possible run an experiment and when the samples should be collected in order to plot C vs.t graph. The conversion is very fast so how do I know the concentration of unreacted is from the initial time t=0 or from the addition due to semibatch mode?

Several companies specialize in chemical reaction kinetic studies.  To me, Fauske seems to be more open than most, so I recommend you learn what you can here:

https://www.fauske.c...eaction-hazards

Their site is full of good technical articles.  Just look around it.

To get the data you are looking for, you have to design a batch experiment, not semi-batch.  You have to eliminate the exact factor you asked about.  You are trying to get data, not make product.

Can you share the chemical(s) and process you are studying?  Someone may be familiar with it.
