In general, the buffer tank is installed at the nitrogen generation package. (attached file case 1)

 

There is a case of additionally installing a buffer tank for a specific supplier.(attached file case 2)

 

Any experience or advice would be appreciated.

The attachment did not stick to your post and the specifics are not clear. In general, nitrogen buffer tanks are to help provide smooth flow and pressure as supply and demand changes.
