Hello,

How do I calculate energy balance around condenser? I have the inlet and outlet temperatures of hot fluid and inlet temperature of coolant fluid, however since there is phase change (vapor to liquid) I am not sur which path I should follow. Thanks for answers.

If its a total condenser then you just need the enthlpy of all the streams, vapor and liquid.  If it's a partial condenser you first need to calcualate the vapour & liquid compositions and then get the enthalpies of those streams.  After that its simple math.

You don't calculate an energy balance. You derive unknown stream properties using an energy balance.
