I have a centrifugal pump with following specification:

Flow 70 m3/hr
Head 50 m
Closed Impeller dia 400mm
Suction dia 8 inch
Discharge dia 6 inch
Rpm 1460
Power 55 kW

I want to operate this pump at 30meter head and 70 m3/hr flow.

What will be the motor kW keeping in view 400 mm impeller dia?

Use the Pump Affinity Laws.

How do you propose to operate the pump at 30 m head?

Hi,

Can you share with us the pump curves and let us know why this change in the operating point ?

Why don't you want to trim the impeller ?

Note : make sure you understand what is head about = TDH =H discharge- H suction , not static head difference.

Hope this is helping you.
