Hi,

I'm doing a HAZOP for a unit, and I am a bit confused as to how exactly it should be done. Lets say I have an entry for a deviation and parameter of Less Flow due to a pump failure, that can then cause a hazard of low level in a reactor. Then for a deviation and parameter of Low Level, can I add another entry with pump failure as a cause?

Because the hazards are virtually identical but if I do this for all other hazards, the entire study will become very long and redundant. So which entry should I use in the HAZOP sheet, for Less Flow or Low Level?

Any help is welcome, thank you!

Hi,

Hazard study is always very long , you need to cover all the possible scenarios and document them .

In case of trouble you need to be able to demonstrate that your study , I mean the group study, cover them all .

Attached a worksheet to support your work

Good luck
