Hello,

I am trying to figure out the partial pressure of H2S in a HX, shell side, for my summer intern project. However, everything I've tried so far the results continue giving me a (-1) atm. Why is this? Is it even possible to have Hysys calculate the partial pressure within the shell of the HX?

I currently have under Properties

  • Basis: Peng-Robinson
  • Petro Assay: West-Hackberry Sweet 2010

For the simulation. I have 3 streams being "mixed" into a feed that enters the HX on the shell side. Tube side is cooling water. The 3 streams consist of a water wash stream, an H2 stream, and a Cut from the Assay.

I appreciate any help that anyone can offer.

Нi,

Input vapor fraction of stream to zero at working temperature then multiply H2S vapor mole fraction by calculated equilibrium pressure of stream.
