- What is the maximum allowable concentration of H2S while using SS 316?
- What is the maximum allowable concentration of H2S while using A106?
- Incase of high H2S concentration (200+ ppm), what material is recommended to be used to transfer the sour gas (pipe, Fitting and Valve)?

Hopefully that makes sense, any recommendations is much appreciated.

Regards,
Zee

What have you found in your internet search so far? I see 600 million search hits for 'steel h2s' with several relevant articles at the top of the list.

There is big difference of corrosion performance in dry H2S and wet H2S.

First you need to confirm whether water exist.

Then you contact engineering department for proper material.

There is no a simple answer. Depends on industry, equipment type and process conditions. See NACE MR0175, NACE RP0296, NACE MR0103, ISO 15156, ISO 17945 for a general guide.
