What are the key benefits and drawbacks of using Partial oxidation (POX) reformer over a non-catalytic steam reformer for coke oven gas?

In terms of costs, operation and enrichment of syn gas.

as my understanding, POX could handle raw gas with big range of H/C, as well as product.

So why aren't POX reformers more common than catalytic ones? Do POX reformers have operational difficulties?

POX can handle various feed, this is why it become more popular, especially when plant has tail gas (may from cracker or other unit).

as the feed is various, the operation of POX will become more difficult.
