Hello everyone
I was wondering what is the common size for an industrial reactor?
My reactor have a volume of 2 m3, are this consider small, or okay?
What is the range of the volume of packed bed reactor?
Thank you.

It would help if you said which industry you are talking about and what the reactor is for, pharma reactors tend to be on the small side, refining/pretrochem tend to be very large.

More detail, better replies.
In my industry and experience, there are semi-batch, emulsion polymerization reactors from 1 gallon (0.004 m^3) in the labs to 24,000 gallons (91 m^3) in the plants. In your industry, it could be very different.

The only real lmit on reactor size is the ability to roll the steel. That limit is generally reached with various types of Hydrocracker reactors with 12inch thick steel walls operating at 200 bar or thereabouts weighing in at 2000te. If your smaller than that your probably ok.
