Hello,

I am working on a topping revamping project.
Actually, we are in the phaseof PSV’s sizing and I would like to know if Aspen safety analyser is a suitable one for this job?

Safety Analysis tool in Hysys can be used for PSV sizing.
However, as with all softwares, its Garbage In Garbage Out. You must specify everything correctly to correct results.

I'd use software and also verify by hand calculations using API 520/521
All calculations should be reviewed by a Senior Experienced Process Engineer
Also take care to analyze all scenarios for PSV sizing carefully

You should first develop the relief scenarios.

But the Aspen safety analyser guide the user in scenario detection.
