I am currently engaged in an R&D project focused on developing high-pressure reciprocating pumps. My inquiry pertains to the standards that apply to the measurement of pump vibrations, particularly if there are specific standards dictating allowable vibration ranges for reciprocating pumps.

 

If there are established criteria or permissible ranges of vibration for reciprocating pumps, I would greatly appreciate it if you could provide information regarding the relevant standard and the corresponding acceptable vibration ranges.

I never being deeply involved in such topic. Generally, it is handled by mechanical engineers and specific specialists. Based on my limited exposure, I remember few documents which might be beneficial to your case. These are API 675, API 670, and the publications of the Energy Institute.

API 674, 675 ,676   seem to be the documents to check. Like others said you may question reputable vendors to support your query.

I would not like to have such a pump supplier. Practice and only practice. Extensive field tests and experience exchange with Clients and Competitors.
