Hi everyone,
I am aiming laser at the calcium phosphate material, submerged in water, to break it apart. I am observing some explosive burning type event (I see a spark) and possible formation of steam bubbles. The process results in charring/carbonization of the material at the end of experiment. I would appreciate if you could give your insight into the possible cause of this phenomenon. Not sure if it is the dissolved oxygen in the water that is leading to the explosion/spark generation.
Thank you,
Geetanjali

You do interesting work! Check whether there are hydroxides or oxides in your calcium phosphate material.

Thank you Pilesar! I will check the presence of those oxides.
