Hello,

I am sizing a vertical separators and there are multiple methods of sizing namely GPSA, Svercek Method etc. I was wondering which method is more accurate in terms of sizing from your experience to calculate the vertical height and diameter.

thank you

You can find software at my site to easily size vertical separators. And compare the results to other methods. I don't recommend anything by Svercek.

Hi,

A few documents to support your work.

Definitely GPSA is the right document.

This link is also a good reference:

Good luck

Accurate? What do you mean accurate? How separator ID may be accurate or inaccurate? Separator has two features only (1) it works as intended or not, (2) how much money you spent.

How much money you are ready to invest and which process cases this separator will unable to treat - this is the right choice of calculation method. It is an engineer's skill to define those conditions properly.
