The present operational pressure within the shell side of the shell-and-tube heat exchanger is 95 psig, while the current pressure safety valve (PSV) set point is set at 100 psig. It is necessary to either raise the set point or resize the safety relief valves (SRVs) as they are approaching their limit. Both the materials on the shell and tube sides are rated for 150 psig (Maximum Allowable Working Pressure - MAWP 150 psig). Are there any implications on the release rate due to this?

Hi,
Any change noticeable over the time on operating pressure on shell side? What is the condition of the shell in term of cleanliness?

Has this been in operation a long time? Maybe there is a reason for the 100 psig set pressure.

The request isn't clear...hence to get a proper response please provide more details and a schematic diagram...
