Dear Experts,

I would like to ask a question about the application of gas seals (i.e. velocity or buoyancy type).

As per the API 521/537, it appears that the gas seal is only installed in a flare stack. However, I am curious if we can apply a gas seal inside a vent stack (for example inside hydrogen vent stack) to reduce continuous N2 purge gas flowrate.

Is this possible and what are the possible benefits and drawbacks of doing so?
