Hi 

I'm checking Aspen EDR results with simple hand calcualtions, when I calcualtes velocity in  tubes in a shell and tube HX design I can't get the same Aspen value,. anybody knows why?

No idea. Maybe, if you attached the Aspen EDR info and your hand calculations, we might be able to help you.

There should be no problem with tubes. Check if your shell cross area calculation is wrong. For shell velocity calculations, use the free area between the baffles.
