Hello everyone,

 

I'm doing a preliminary sizing for a direct fired heater using HTRI for a budget estimation and I am new to fired heaters design. I am studying the criteria for a fired heater design and i wanted to know how to determine the number of burners required ? how can I be sure that the tube circle diameters will fit all the burners ? also what's the flame length limit to avoid impingement ? HTRI also requires many parameters in the burner section that i didn't find much information about. I know that burners are left to vendors but any guidance from you is appreciated.

Hello. I have experience in fired heaters but not with HTRI xfh specifically and can give some rough answers to your questions. But first, since this was posted in March, did what have you found out since then?
