Hello All,
I have a double pipe heat exchanger system where, some thermal energy is transferred from inner pipe fluid to the outer pipe fluid. Now if decrease the area of the inner pipe using a nozzle, inturn increasing the velocity of the fluid and decreasing its pressure, will there be any change in the rate of heat transfer? Is there any change to quantify the change that might occur?
In general, what role will velocity of a fluid play in its ability of heat transfer at a given pressure be?
Thank You.
