Hii all,

I have to design a in-house steam sparger for wastewater treatment. Does anyone have any design guide document for same?

I have gone through Mott steam sparger documents for same but, that doesn't specify the orifice area calculation.

Your help is highly appreciated!

I guess the documents you are referring to are those attached.

Why don't you drop them an email, they are the specialists?

Not really.  As breizh suggests, send out a performance specification to at least 3 vendors and let the experts design it for you.  Is it a single point steam sparger, or a multiple point steam distributor sparger?  A sketch is worth a thousand words!

sparger is being used to sparge steam in wastewater stripper for VOCs removal. I guess that makes it a single point steam sparger.

I found Ankur's manual for design of liquid and gas distributors/spargers on same site. As it is a trial run, company is going with in-house design first.

 

 Does anyone have any design guide document for same?
